[ARCHIVED] 6TH ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE PET FOOD CHALLENGE

6TH ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE PET FOOD CHALLENGE

Please join Nassau County Legislator James D. Kennedy in support of the Long Island Cares’ 6th Annual Pet Food Drive that will take place during the months of March and April.  Long Island Cares formed Baxter’s Pet Pantry in 2009 and has since distributed over one million pounds of pet food to pets all over Long Island.  Many families struggle to pay for food for their furry family members.  Most needed pet foods are:

5 or 10 pound bags of dog & cat food (larger bags always accepted)
Canned dog & cat food
Kitty litter
Treats
New Toys
Food for all pets (reptiles, fish, ferrets and hamsters, etc.)

All pet food must be unopened and in its original packaging.  No opened bags, ripped bags or loose pet food will be accepted. These pet food items will help feed animals in need, which in turn keeps pets with their loved ones and out of shelters.  Please consider donating to this much needed and worthwhile cause.

Pet Food/Supplies Drop Off Boxes will be placed in the
