[ARCHIVED] NASSAU COUNTY LEGISLATORS PARTNER WITH M&C VENTURE GROUP TO DONATE THOUSANDS OF FACE SHIELDS TO EMTS

NASSAU LEG PARTNER WITH MandC VENTURE COVID FACE SHIELDS DONATE

As the COVID-19 pandemic goes on, many first responders are in desperate need of the necessary supplies that keep them safe from this dangerous virus. Fire fighters, EMTs, ambulance companies, and other first responders need to be protected because although we can stay safe at home, when someone needs medical help, these first responders cannot. It is their job to respond and they do so with expediency and pride.

On May 15th, Nassau County Legislators Laura Schaefer, Rose Marie Walker and Steve Rhoads joined with M&C Venture Group, Inc. of Bellport, New York, to provide thousands of face shields to fire departments and ambulance companies in Nassau County, specifically in the 14th, 17th and 19th Legislative Districts. The distribution was held at the Hicksville Fire Department, and was attended by 10 local fire departments.

“Fire departments, ambulance companies and other first responders risk their lives every day to help keep Nassau County residents safe and healthy,” Legislator Laura Schaefer said. “These brave men and women need protective face shields to help maintain their own health and safety during this crisis. I thank M&C Venture Group for donating these face shields, and I thank the first responders for all they do.”

“As a volunteer firefighter, I know the risks these men and women and EMTs and ambulance companies take to help keep people safe and healthy,” Legislator Steve Rhoads said. “They put their own health at risk to help keep everyone else safe. These protective face shields will go a long way to help first responders do their jobs and stay healthy. Thank you to M&C Venture Group for donating them, and thank you to all first responders!”
