LEGISLATORS GAYLOR AND KOPEL DELIVER CRP MONEY TO HEWLETT BAY FIRE DISTRICT FOR CHEST COMPRESSORS

Deputy Presiding Officer Howard J. Kopel and Legislator Bill Gaylor delivered a Community Revitalization Project (CRP) check on April 12th to the Hewlett Bay Fire District for $17,000. The money will go to purchase Lucas Mechanical CPR Chest Compression Devices.

Lucas Mechanical CPR devices are easy-to-use life-saving devices that performs consistent chest-compressions in place of a human provider. They help with people who are suffering sudden cardiac arrest or any other situation where chest-compressions are called for. The Fire Department EMTs can use the device in the field and on the move, and free up their hands to provide other help.

“These chest compression machines will help our firefighters and EMTs save the lives of residents,” Legislator Bill Gaylor said. “I am proud to deliver CRP money to the Hewlett Bay Fire Department to help obtain these important devices.”
