(EAST MEADOW, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) proudly joined the leaders of local veterans’ organizations and her colleagues in government on Sunday, Nov. 7 to commemorate Veterans Day during a ceremony held at the Veterans Memorial in Eisenhower Park.
“We are forever grateful to the generations of veterans who placed their lives on the line to serve and protect these United States of America,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Thank you to all who made Nassau County's Veterans Day ceremony such a meaningful and beautiful opportunity to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the men and women who served so courageously in our nation's armed forces.”
