
LEGISLATOR WALKER IS HOSTING A “SHED THE MEDS” DRUG DISPOSAL EVENT IN BETHPAGE

Stewart Avenue Parking Lot (across from Bethpage Community Park)
Nassau County Legislator Rose Marie Walker is joining with the Nassau County Police Department, Bethpage Kiwanis and the Bethpage School District to sponsor a “Shed the Meds” event at Bethpage High School (in the Stewart Avenue parking lot). This event will allow residents to safely dispose of unused, unwanted and expired medications. Simply drive up, drop off, and drive away.
Keep medications in original containers and block out your name
for anonymity. Do not cross out medication information on label.
ACCEPTED ITEMS INCLUDE: Prescription medications, prescription patches, over the counter medications, vitamins, sample medications and medications for pets. Illegal narcotics may also be dropped off anonymously, no questions asked.
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED INCLUDE: Syringes, sharps and liquid medications.
Syringes and sharps may be dropped off at St. Joseph’s Hospital - 4295 Hempstead Tpke., Bethpage
