(ELMONT, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Valley Stream) is pleased to report that Nassau County Department of Public Works (DPW) officials have confirmed that the repaving of Elmont Road, from Hempstead Turnpike south to Linden Boulevard, is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 5. Work will be occurring in the evenings to minimize disruptions, Legislator Solages said. “Elmont Road is one of our most heavily traveled County roads and it is an essential thoroughfare in the daily lives of District 3 residents,” Legislator Solages said. “I am thankful that repaving work is scheduled to begin next week and thank the County and DPW for making this a priority. I encourage everyone to drive safely and plan accordingly as work is completed on this important project.”
