Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages Regarding Antisemitic Remarks at RVC Village Board Meeting

(MINEOLA, N.Y.) – Yesterday, on Palm Sunday, Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) issued the following statement:

“As I enjoy my Palm Sunday in peace, I feel horrible for my Jewish brothers and sisters in Rockville Centre who are experiencing renewed forms of antisemitism. I was shocked by a recent video of a person who came before a zoning meeting who is offended by people in America (not Nazi Germany) expressing their faith.

“I live in Lawrence and I do not see homes being turned into Synagogues as the person falsely claims. We must do more to educate others on all forms of hate. I really hope and demand for the Mayor of Rockville Centre and its Board of Trustees condemn this hate speech!”
