(BALDWIN HARBOR, N.Y.) – Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined with the Baldwin community on Sunday, March 2 at Sonny’s Canal House in Baldwin Harbor as they launched their annual Relay for Life campaign.
The Baldwin Relay benefits the American Cancer Society and is part of a nationwide campaign in which more than a quarter million Relayers support the not-for-profit organization’s mission. Since its inception in 1985, Relay for Life has raised more than $6.8 billion in the fight to save lives from cancer.
“Across our nation and in communities like Baldwin all around Nassau County, Relays for Life do so much to increase critical awareness about cancer and raise essential funds for the ongoing fight to save lives from this devastating disease,” Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Mulé said. “I applaud Abby and Miguel Melendez for all they do and every person who is stepping up to support the Baldwin Relay for Life.”
