(Baldwin, NY) – Legislator Laura Curran and the Nassau County Department of Public Works are co-hosting the first public open house on the Baldwin Downtown & Commercial Corridor Resiliency Study. The meeting will be held on
Wednesday, November 16th, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the
cafeteria of the Baldwin Senior High School, 841 Ethel T. Kloberg Drive, Baldwin.
The Baldwin DCCR Study will evaluate potential opportunities for economic growth to help foster economic investment, expand housing options, increase mobility around town, and, enhance public spaces. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to review preliminary concepts and recommendations from the study.
“The Baldwin community is eager to see improvements to its downtown area and commercial corridors. This study will create an implementable plan on how to improve Baldwin’s economic and physical resiliency in these key areas of town. I look forward to seeing residents, business owners, and other community stakeholder’s at Wednesday’s meeting.”
