WHAT - Ahead of Earth Day 2021, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D - Freeport) invites residents, park lovers and environmentalists to join her in giving Freeport’s Brookside Preserve some springtime TLC during an upcoming community clean-up hosted by her office.
Garbage bags and plastic gloves will be provided by organizers; participants are encouraged to bring pokers, rakes, grabbers, more durable gloves and other supplemental tools if they are desired. To safeguard against ticks and other hazards, attendees are encouraged to wear long sleeves, pants, socks and other protective attire. Masks will be required in accordance with COVID-19 prevention protocols.
